Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Front Door Service, and we are seeking to recruit to our highly motivated, friendly, and supportive Out of Hours team.

The Out of Hours Service provides essential Social Work cover for children and adults across Kent and Medway children's services. The role offers experienced Social Workers a chance to broaden their knowledge and skills, as well as an alternative to standard daytime hours.

We are looking for experienced Children and Families/Child Protection Senior Practitioners who:

  • Can work evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Are committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Are resilient, flexible, adaptable, forward-thinking, and positive about improving services outside normal hours.
  • Can work efficiently under pressure, with excellent risk assessment and prioritization skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills and are proficient in Information Technology.
  • Are interested in expanding their skills to include working with Adults, including Adult Protection.
  • Are seeking a change from routine work and new professional challenges.
  • Can cope with shift work.
