Our client, a prestigious consulting firm in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled System Engineer / Infrastructure Specialist for a contract role. This opportunity involves supporting infrastructure needs, managing existing assets, and advising on upgrades or new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients in making informed decisions regarding infrastructure designs using technical knowledge.
2. Enhance client infrastructure capabilities and effectiveness through strategic decision-making.
3. Provide technical problem-solving advice and support.
4. Define and manage customer requirements effectively.
5. Collect and analyze data to resolve issues and deliver recommendations.
6. Implement solutions that deliver tangible benefits to clients.
7. Ensure understanding and effective use of proposed solutions.
8. Identify opportunities for best practices implementation.
9. Support business development activities to increase visibility of infrastructure services.
10. Design, create, and test moderately complex solutions within their capability area.
11. Work autonomously, taking responsibility for planning and analysis.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC) in Engineering or Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in M&E or Civil/Structural Engineering in infrastructure environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple levels.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach to professional development.
• UK Security Clearance and sole UK national status.
• Experience in defence infrastructure, particularly maritime.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles (INCOSE Handbook).
• Knowledge of Nuclear Safety Management Systems, Assurance & Regulation.
• Familiarity with Nuclear Authorization Conditions.
• Understanding of the CADMID process.

Employment Conditions:

• 37.5 hours/week, with part-time options available.
• Remote work with travel to locations such as Weymouth, Bath, Fareham, Plymouth, Glasgow, and overseas.
