Role: Business Analyst

Location: Loughborough

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full Time 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hybrid working after training.

Salary: up to £35,000 per annum

JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a background in mortgages or financial services.

Job Profile:

As a Business Analyst with experience in mortgage systems, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyse business processes, and recommend improvements. You will be responsible for documenting requirements, coordinating with vendors to implement system changes, and co-ordinating testing. Additionally, you will provide support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilise new system functionalities.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Documenting business requirements through to implementation.
2. Work with business areas to ensure decisions are made in line with requirements.
3. Planning and co-ordinating system testing.
4. Maintaining project records; analysis documentation, test plans & test status reports.
5. Recording, monitoring, controlling and reporting as required.
6. Contributing to the continuous improvement of service, systems, processes, procedures and policy to ensure they continue to meet business requirements. This may include IT system testing for upgrades, fixes, product launches and changes, and reviewing and updating of procedures and policies.
7. Building effective relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts and providing training, technical support, and expertise as required.
8. Monitoring system performance against SLA’s and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Person Specification:

1. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and end-users.
2. Delivery of business improvements and IT-based change initiatives.
3. Test management techniques.
4. Background in financial services or other similar regulated environment.
