Job Summary

At our world-class facility in Elphinstone, Tranent (close to Edinburgh), our Administration & Reporting Department currently has an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Sample Coordinator on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Due to our continued growth and success, we can offer rewarding opportunities in a research environment. Working as an Assistant Sample Coordinator, you’ll join a team which provides support to study management in the coordination and reporting of their studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare labels and apply to appropriate sample containers in preparation for scheduled sampling.
  • Prepare chain of custody documentation to collect and transfer samples.
  • Prepare detailed electronic sample inventories according to sponsor-specific requirements.
  • Order packaging materials including boxes and dry ice.
  • Maintain a calendar of tasks according to protocol requirements.
Applicants Should Have
  • English and Mathematics Standard Grades.
  • Proven experience of working within given timescales with a proactive working style.
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word.
  • Good written communication and people skills.

The salary is £24,638.06 per annum.
