Day Shift Production Supervisor

Location: YORK, SOUTH CAROLINA

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 based on experience.

Job Title:

Production Supervisor – Days (6:30am - 5:00 pm)

Summary of Duties:

Supervises production staff, including scheduling machine and order runs, planning and assigning work, production reporting, and managing raw material inventory. Implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment reliability, operating procedures, and working conditions. The role is hands-on, requiring the supervisor to perform any position on the production floor as needed and be on-call continuously, including during off-duty hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work to continuously improve productivity, balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale.
2. Eliminate or control hazardous conditions to prevent injuries and property damage.
3. Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
4. Train, coach, and discipline employees as necessary.
5. Implement and monitor performance metrics using Continuous Improvement models.
6. Maintain professional relationships and effective communication with others.
7. Provide leadership and training to meet plant goals.
8. Promote a culture of success and plant cleanliness for safety and pride.
9. Develop Standard Operating Procedures in collaboration with the General Manager and staff.
10. Collaborate effectively with the General Manager on production and staffing issues.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours, lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $70,000 annually.
