Day Shift Train Cleaner

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading train operators in the heart of the Midlands as a Day Shift Train Cleaner on a temporary contract. The Role

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our day shift train cleaning team, responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards before trains return to service.

This role involves full interior cleaning, including mopping, vacuuming, and touchpoint sanitization, as part of the cleaning team at Eastcroft Depot. The position will begin with an initial 4–6-week period at Nottingham Station, during which you will receive support to obtain your Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.

This is an existing 2 week rotating roster pattern covering Saturdays and Sundays; therefore, full flexibility is required. Overtime is available at the discretion of the management team.

Week 1: Sunday (07:54 - 16:00), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (05:54 - 15:00), Thursday (05:54 - 13:00)

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (05:54 - 15:00), Friday (05:54 - 13:00)

You will be joining a respectable company within the railway sector with a great track record service over 140 routes nationwide. With routes across the Midland, York, London, and the Northwest, you will be joining one of the leading names within the UK’s rail operating companies who promote a great culture and offer members of staff progression as standard.

Pay Rate & Benefits

The pay rate for the Day Shift Train Cleaner position will be at £13.16 per hour.

About You

Ideally, you will be experienced within a vehicle/industrial or house cleaning environment.

You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering a clean and safe environment.

Training is provided covering depot protection, site safety, and cleaning solutions. Work is undertaken in a safety-critical environment, so you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.
