Job description

Position: Network NOC Engineer

Location: Cheltenham, UK - Hybrid (Two days onsite)

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

Technical NOC Engineer role, responsible for supporting the Network Infrastructure and associated Data Centre services. This includes operational and administrative tasks under an ITIL framework to deliver support for two Data Centres. The role involves delivering Network Service Requests, Incident resolution, and Change execution for the Data Centre's network environments.

Essential Requirements and Responsibilities

• Candidate must have valid Security Clearance.
• Support the following technologies at L3 level (resolving incidents, configuring, upgrading, security):

• CISCO Firepower and FortiGate Firewalls with IPS/IDS
• CISCO Catalyst Switches
• Fortigate RAS VPN with MFA

• Have clear concepts of OSPF/BGP and different types of resiliency configurations.
• Possess strong Network Data and Security knowledge.
• Have strong knowledge of configuring Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.
• Prior experience in NoC/Incident Handling and supporting network technologies such as routing/switching, Firewalls, load balancers, and proxies across multiple data centres.
• Experience with alerting and monitoring tools such as Manage Engine OPS Manager, CISCO DNA-C, Prime, Nagios, etc.
• Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The role includes P1 operational on-call support, subject to scheduling.
• Ability to document and control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT processes.
