Job description

Job Description: Apprentice at NWS Motors

NWS provides a comprehensive range of Land Rover, Range Rover, and Jaguar engine remanufacturing services. We regularly rebuild, recondition, repair, upgrade, finesse, and deep-clean complete engines and all major engine parts across all Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) models.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to continue working and developing with NWS Motors on a permanent basis upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities:

1. Production and manufacture of components
2. Reconditioning of engines
3. Assembly of components
4. Working to quality and standard checks
5. Preparation and organisation of the work area, ensuring all equipment meets standards
6. Adherence to Health & Safety guidelines

Qualifications and Training:

The apprentice will receive a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard qualification at the end of the program.

Day release involves attending SBC Training in Shrewsbury one day a week.

Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours: Learners and employers will select options covering each knowledge module of the apprenticeship standard.

Functional Skills in maths and English will be developed through written and online tests to provide practical skills for work, education, and daily life.

The End Point Assessment includes written and practical tests, a professional dialogue, and an interview.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, shifts to be confirmed.
