Job description

Empowering Learning is looking to appoint a Lead Humanities Teacher to teach in an OFSTED-rated OUTSTANDING School in Birmingham, starting September 2025.

Knowledge of the GCSE Curriculum is essential, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality Geography lessons.

Salary: 200+ per day, depending on experience.

Daily Tasks will include:
  1. Teaching and delivering the GCSE Curriculum
  2. Focusing on delivering high-quality lessons each day
  3. Participating in SLT team meetings and contributing to key decisions within the school
  4. Managing student behaviour
  5. Building relationships with staff, students, and parents
Credentials we are looking for:
  • Previous experience working within a secondary school department
  • Proven leadership experience within a school
  • A passionate, enthusiastic individual willing to go the extra mile to support students in reaching their potential
  • Experience working with children with learning difficulties (SEN)
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
