Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Haemato-oncology Nurse to advance their career. Join our nurse-led outpatient haemato-oncology service at Ipswich Hospital.

The Woolverstone Macmillan Centre is a day unit offering malignant and non-malignant treatments to Haemato-oncology patients. The unit relies on nursing expertise to assess and administer treatments safely and efficiently.

You should be competent in administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT). This role provides opportunities to expand your SACT knowledge, develop leadership and communication skills, and grow professionally in a busy but supportive environment.

This position is based within our unit's working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 18:00.

Main duties of the job

You will support the ward sisters in leading and developing the nursing team. You will provide inspirational leadership, act as a credible role model, and foster a positive, welcoming environment. You should possess strong communication, change management, and organizational skills, with a positive attitude towards flexibility and continuous improvement.
