As a result of ongoing growth and expansion, Rainham Steel, a leading UK steel stockholder, requires a Machine Operator. The role is based at their Head office in Rainham, Essex.

Job Purpose:

To assist with the smooth running of our cut and bent facility, ensuring functionality, quality, and productivity at all times.

The Job Role:

• • This position is manual and involves lifting and handling steel reinforcing rods.
• • Reporting to the Operations Manager.
• • Fully trained in all aspects of cutting and bending reinforcing rods.
• • Using Re-Bar bending machines, such as automatic link benders and shearlines.
• • Ensuring jobs meet the required deadlines.
• • Learning machine maintenance.
• • Following Health and Safety procedures at all times.

The Candidate:

• • Reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking, driven, and self-motivated with a desire to learn.
• • Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary.
• • Able to work under pressure.
• • Willing and flexible to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
• • Possessing a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• • Good command of the English language.
• • Accurate verbal communication and attention to detail are essential.
