NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a part-time Porter/Security for Ayrshire Central Hospital. This role involves driving, security monitoring, and assisting with various tasks around the hospital. Ideal candidates will have a clean driving license and strong communication skills, working 37 hours per week on a rota basis.

Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent, part-time Porter / Security based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
The role of porter/security is varied and includes duties such as driving, security monitoring (CCTV, patrolling, locking and securing premises, issuing keys). You will assist in incidents related to violence and aggression and communicate with internal and external bodies.
Occasionally, you will assist colleagues within the grounds and portering staff with tasks such as gritting, waste management, and the delivery & collection of meals, mail, oxygen, and supplies to wards and outlying buildings.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required:
You should be numerate, literate, practical, and able to operate a range of vehicles and mechanical aids.

Hours:
37 hours per week, on a Monday to Sunday rota.
Early and back shifts.
A 2-week rota with alternate weekends off, comprising 7 early shifts and 3 back shifts.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A valid car license is essential for this role.
