ABOUT THE ROLE:
The primary purpose of the Associate Post Production Engineer is to support the International Post Production infrastructure environments for our International TV Networks, Social Media team and Film operations. The core responsibilities include (but are not limited to) managing and resolving requests from clients, designing and evolving post production workflows, maintenance and patching of systems as well as managing small projects.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Avid Interplay, NEXIS and Media Composer
Adobe Creative Cloud, Blackmagic Resolve, 3rd party plugins for all applications
Video standards SD, HD, UHD, HDR, NDI, SRT / Resolutions / Frame Rates
Video Compression such as XDCAM50, MPEG2, MPEG4/AVC, XAVC, DNx, ProRes etc.
Thorough understanding of Window 11, Windows Server and Mac OS
Ability to work effectively with others across geographical locations
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and schedules
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
File encoding and workflows using Telestream Vantage
Leostream and Teradici PCoIP support
Understanding of software automation (Ansible)
Knowledge of VMWare & Virtualisation implementation and management
File acceleration applications using Aspera and Signiant products
Knowledge and experience using Azure or AWS
Experience and understanding of anti-piracy measures and cyber security in broadcast and post production environments
Experience of Digital Cinema Projection, server equipment, digital cinema standards, 3D, 4K and integrated media blocks
Experience of storage / archive technologies such as Facilis Terrablock, Object Matrix MatrixStore & XenData LTO Archive
Understanding of the real-time technologies supporting IPTV solutions such as DVB stream processing, IP encoding, SRT, HLS
