Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Production Planner within our growing Supply Chain Team.

In a nutshell you will be responsible for:

The Production Planner will coordinate the production workflow of one or multiple value streams. Planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay whilst ensuring any production issues are communicated and escalated to upper management if needed.

What you are already great at:
  • Raise, schedule, and re-schedule production orders to support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Liaise with buyers to ensure material availability to meet production plans.
  • Release production orders in a timely manner to ensure plan delivery.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics to coordinate production activities seamlessly.
  • Communicate schedules and priorities clearly to the production team.
  • Address and resolve production issues with supervisors and operators.
  • Manage expectations for delivery of production orders to stock.
  • Close works orders efficiently and accurately weekly.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports, including On Time to Promise, Launch On Time, Plan Accuracy, and Past Due Recovery.
  • Adhere to Stock Holding Policies as defined by the business.
  • Standardize planning processes across multiple sites to develop best practices.
For this role we need you to demonstrate:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in production planning within manufacturing.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and implement timely solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with MRP systems, preferably EFACS or SAP.
  • Proficiency in Excel, numeracy, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
  • Proactive and organized with manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Team-oriented, willing to help, learn, and share information.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
