What is the opportunity?

Join our London office as an Associate, Securities Finance, on a permanent basis.

The Securities Finance business unit focuses on optimizing securities lending revenue within clients' risk and reward profiles. The trading desks handle market execution with borrowers, maximize profitability, develop new products and revenue sources, manage relationships, and support client retention and acquisition.

What will you do?

  1. Maximize net revenue and minimize costs for clients in the Securities Lending program.
  2. Support the front office with daily recalls, borrower interactions, and monitoring buy-ins, liaising with the middle office on returns.
  3. Develop new revenue opportunities and products to increase profitability.
  4. Optimize use of client assets and revenue within lending parameters.
  5. Manage borrower and lender relationships globally, including meetings and presentations.
  6. Handle daily procedures supporting optimal distribution of on-loan assets.
  7. Assist with collateral management according to client parameters.
  8. Collaborate with the lender-facing team on data, performance metrics, and market trends.
  9. Support recall processes, liaising with Middle Office and Client Service teams.
  10. Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, including contract compare breaks.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  1. Relevant experience in Securities Finance.
  2. Professional/regulatory qualifications (e.g., FCA, CSC).
  3. Good understanding of financial markets.
  4. Strong systems skills (Excel, Access, Bloomberg).
  5. Experience in equity, fixed income trading, or collateral management.
  6. Excellent relationship management skills.
  7. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with ability to improve processes.
  8. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Team player capable of coordinating globally.
  10. Ability to analyze economic and market data and assess business impact.
  11. Willingness to perform administrative duties as needed.

Nice-to-have

  • Computer programming experience.
