We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician on our Manufacturing Site in Runcorn. This is a full time permanent position reporting to the maintenance superintendent where the successful candidate will carry out tasks specific to their trade background. They are responsible for their technical correctness and ensuring engineering standards as set by the Engineer are met. All tasks will be carried out with the appropriate regard given to the highest SHE standards.

The Runcorn Vynova Asset is currently undergoing a major investment programme, with the new plant currently undergoing commissioning. This is an excellent time to join our dynamic team as there will be substantial responsibility from day 1 as you will help drive the asset through this critical period.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide assistance to the maintenance coordinator in the provision of detailed job specifications for detailed planning and execution.
2. Be the first line technical expert with regards to maintenance of electrical equipment.
3. The technician will be expected to diagnose equipment or system problems and take the necessary action to rectify them. Will be responsible for monitoring the condition of engineering equipment in their area and when required keep records.
4. Will be responsible for highlighting problem areas to the Engineer and suggesting and implementing improvements to engineering equipment.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Trade Apprenticeship.
2. NVQ III or Equivalent.
3. 10 years in the Chemical Industry on a Top Tier COMAH site.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance activities in Electrical discipline.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant engineering maintenance standards in electrical discipline.
6. COMPEX inspector trained.
