A support organization for eating disorders in Derbyshire is seeking a passionate Specialist Support Officer to provide peer support and facilitate progression for service users of all ages. The role includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing care plans, and conducting workshops. Previous lived experience with eating disorders or mental health experience is required. Full training is provided.
First Steps Ed are looking for a passionate and supportive Specialist Support Officer to join our team in Derby/Derbyshire.
First Steps ED supports people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds experiencing problems with eating difficulties and eating disorders. The role will require the ability to deliver our face-to-face services to provide individuals with the support through our Early Help Eating Disorder programme to facilitate progression and change in their home, education, and community environments.
You will have the ability to relate to and work with a range of professionals to ensure a high quality and safe services. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes clinical and non-clinical colleagues from referring organisations and colleagues from across our organisation.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
