Job Description:

Are you an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist looking for either a full-time or part-time opportunity? Join Brighton and Hove Clinic, a specialist inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 to 18 years. You will provide evidence-based, individualized treatment programs and be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with experience in CAMHS Eating Disorders and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload as RC of the ward.
• Participate in assessment and management of referred children and young people.
• Assess physical health, document findings, and participate in meetings.
• Complete professional reports promptly.
• Act as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act.
• Attend CETRs as needed.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and risk management.
• Participate in the CAMHS Consultant on-call rota.
• Engage in Continuing Professional Development.
• Uphold Clinical Governance principles.
• Participate in annual appraisals and personal development planning.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a license to practice.
• Experience in CAMHS eating disorders is desirable.
• Medically qualified with MRCPsych or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Innovative, leadership qualities, and ability to effect change.
