Job summary

Thales offers a 2027 Systems Engineering Apprentice - Level 6 Applied Professional Engineering Degree Apprenticeship in Cheadle, UK. Start date 6 September 2027. Salary £24,000 per year. Permanent role with a structured, on-the-job learning path alongside Warwick University, designed to become a Chartered Engineer.

You will study towards a BEng degree while gaining hands-on experience in system design, validation, and lifecycle activities across live projects. Hybrid/flexible options may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 112 UCAS Tariff points at A Level, including a grade B in Maths and at least one further STEM or engineering subject.
• Minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including English Language, Mathematics and an additional STEM subject.
• Applicants who already hold a relevant degree will not be eligible.
• Permanent right to work in the UK and the ability to successfully complete UK government security checks.

Responsibilities

• Support systems requirements and design activities as part of the apprenticeship.
• Contribute to project reviews and system testing/validation.
• Assist with engineering investigations and problem solving.
• Visit customer sites, platforms and installations to support surveys, trials and deployment where required.
• Work with experienced engineers on live projects.
