Job summary

Derby Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Derby. You will support day-to-day running, help customers at the medicines counter, and work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training.

No prior pharmacy experience required; GCSEs in Maths and English are welcome, with training provided. Duration typically around 15 months, with blended learning and contracted hours.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English preferred but not essential.
• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• You will pursue Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and handling queries.
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining records.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintaining cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
