Job summary

Long Melford Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in the CO10 area. You will gain hands-on experience while working toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include assisting customers at the counter, helping with prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and using pharmacy systems.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as training can be provided.
• Applicants without Maths/English Level 2 may complete initial tests to determine suitability.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and confidentiality.
