Job summary

FMG Repair Services in Grimsby is recruiting an Apprentice Vehicle Damage Panel Technician for a 36‑month programme. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, learn a range of repair techniques, and work toward a Level 3 qualification while earning £8.50 per hour in year 1.

The apprenticeship includes block‑release training, a workplace mentor, and progression opportunities into a permanent role. Benefits include generous annual leave, life assurance, pension and wellness support.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Interest in automotive industry and practical learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist and learn across bodyshop tasks.
• Repair, remove and replace vehicle panels to manufacturer standards.
• Learn to repair structural and non-structural damage.
• Carry out panel alignment using welding, bonding and mechanical fastening.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment.
• Work with experienced technicians and communicate effectively with the team.
