Job summary

A leading tutoring organization in the UK is seeking a part-time Numeracy & Literacy Tutor to support KS1/KS2 students. You will work within the community or pupils' homes, delivering creative, personalized tuition to help vulnerable and disengaged learners re-engage with education. The ideal candidate must hold QTS or equivalent and demonstrate patience and empathy. Competitive pay of £25 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be creative and willing to think outside of the box.
• Experience working with disengaged pupils preferred.
• Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate or be willing to process a new application.

Overview

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.

It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
