Job summary

Supply Staff Limited is seeking an experienced Early Years Tutor to provide one-to-one home-based support for young learners in the Bournemouth area. You will deliver EYFS-aligned sessions, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social development, in pupils' homes.

The role requires at least two years of relevant experience, a strong EYFS understanding, and the ability to engage children through play-based activities. Flexible school-hour availability and a valid UK driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with young children in education/childcare.
  • Strong EYFS curriculum knowledge and child development understanding.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one sessions focused on early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development.
  • Support children in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Use play-based, interactive teaching to encourage learning.
  • Adapt activities for individual needs and developmental stages.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Provide progress feedback and updates.
  • Deliver face-to-face sessions in students' homes.

Early Years Tutor (Home-Based Support)

Bournemouth Area Needed.

We are looking for a nurturing, creative, and experienced Early Years Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one support for young learners in their homes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting early development, building confidence, and creating engaging learning experiences for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate one-to-one sessions focused on early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development
  • Support children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Use creative, play-based, and interactive teaching approaches to encourage learning and development
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and developmental stages
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Support children with additional needs or developmental delays where required
  • Provide progress feedback and updates where necessary
  • Deliver face-to-face sessions within students' homes
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN is desirable
  • Patient, engaging, and able to create a positive learning environment
  • Comfortable working independently in family homes
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred
  • Flexible availability during school hours
  • Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
Desirable Qualifications
  • PGCE, QTS, Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or relevant childcare qualification
  • SEN or speech and language support experience
  • Experience in nursery, reception, or early intervention settings
Additional

£25-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
