Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Trainer Assessor in Early Years to lead delivery of Level 5 Lead Practitioner Apprenticeships, develop curriculum content, and deliver engaging workshops across Gloucestershire.

You will manage a caseload from enrolment through to assessment, provide coaching and feedback to apprentices, collaborate with employers, and ensure compliance with funding rules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Years with leadership or management level.
• Experience creating and delivering curriculum content, training and workplace assessment.
• Experience delivering apprenticeship standards and supporting learners.
• Level 3 Assessor Qualification.
• Level 3 Teaching Qualification (Education and Training Certificate or equivalent).
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to travel across Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional who can bring current occupational expertise and outstanding training skills to support apprentices undertaking level 2 ,3 and 5 Early Years Apprenticeships./ We are specifically seeking an individual who is occupationally competent with experience of leading practice, supporting teams, and developing others within Early Years settings and can apply their knowledge and experience to lead delivery of the level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will support the continued growth and development of our Early Years offer, contributing to high-quality delivery, strong learner outcomes and sustained achievement. By developing skilled and confident Early Years Practitioners, they will help strengthen the future workforce and support education, care and skills development across Gloucestershire. The role will include developing curriculum content, delivering engaging workshops, assessing workplace competence and preparing apprentices to achieve success throughout their apprenticeship journey. About the Role You will:

We are looking for an experienced Trainer Assessor who can demonstrate:

• Occupational experience within the Early Years sector including experience working at a leadership or management level.
• Experience in creating, developing and delivering curriculum content, training coaching and assessment in the workplace.
• Experience delivering apprenticeship standards
• Experience supporting apprentices, learners or staff development programmes.
• A recognised Level 3 Assessor Qualification.
• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Qualification (Education and Training Certificate or equivalent).
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to travel across Gloucestershire to visit learners and employers.
