Early Years Team Leader Level 3 – The Little Blue Door, Westhampnett

The Aspire Training Team is currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to complete an Early Years Team Leader Level 3 Apprenticeship at The Little Blue Door, Westhampnett, as their Toddler Room Leader.

At Little Blue Door, we prioritize wellbeing as vital for the health and development of young minds. We have designed our environment to offer a healthy and safe space for children to thrive. Outdoor play and learning are core aspects, with 5,000 sq. ft of carefully designed outdoor space for children to learn through play.

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your childcare career within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • The Room Leader will report to and work closely with the Senior Management Team and will become part of The Little Blue Door Leadership Team.
  • The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge in providing a nurturing, inclusive, and child-led environment for their room's age group, as well as leading and inspiring their team.

Qualities required:

  • You should have a natural affinity with children, being warm, engaging, and enthusiastic to make them feel at home.
  • Good communication skills, reliability, self-motivation, and professionalism are essential.

Hours:

  • The setting operates year-round, open from 07:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • The successful candidate will work 45 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of early years principles and the ability to apply them creatively to provide the best care.
  • NVQ Level 3 relevant childcare and education qualification (or equivalent) is required.
  • Ability to obtain a clear DBS check.
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
