Job description

TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with a group of nurseries across Nottinghamshire, providing exceptional care to children. The nurseries ensure all staff are well-trained in the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding, supporting children's development through stimulating activities that enhance their cognitive and motor skills.

They are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be supported by the team and gain experience working with children aged 6 months to 4 years. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, flexible, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Be a driver (preferably)
  • Be eager to learn new skills and expand your knowledge of the Early Years sector
  • Be enthusiastic about participating in various training in areas such as Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent (those without Level 3 are encouraged to apply)
  • A calm, patient, and caring personality
  • Good communication skills
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in a nursery setting
