Early Years Teaching Assistant - Streetly

Position Overview

We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience to support children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support and implement a well-structured curriculum aligned with the Early Years Framework.
  2. Supervise students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  3. Provide additional learning support as needed.
  4. Engage, motivate, and encourage students to complete their work.
  5. Ensure students stay focused and meet lesson objectives.
  6. Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
  7. Provide feedback on students' progress and development.
  8. Help create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  9. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and educators in supporting children's learning.
  10. Promote positive behaviour management and establish clear boundaries.
Requirements
  • Level 3 TA qualification or a Level 6 Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with children in a primary school setting.
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum, including planning, teaching, and assessment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
