Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Salary: £90 - £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 08:30 am to 4pm (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to become a key member of our vibrant, supportive team in Newham. In this role, you will help children with diverse learning needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, making a meaningful impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

  • Morning Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD and self-harming behaviors.
  • Nappy Changing is a must
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized support plans and interventions.
  • Afternoon Flexibility: Offer crucial support across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to the needs of different age groups.
  • Building Positive Relationships: Form strong, positive connections with students to support their holistic development.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role, is preferred.
  • Nappy Changing: Must be comfortable and experienced with nappy changing.
  • Proactivity and Resilience: A proactive, resilient individual who upholds high standards and helps students reach their full potential.
  • Expertise: A strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Versatility: Ability to assist with nappy changing and cater to individual special educational needs.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently when needed.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
