Job summary

Reed Education is recruiting an EYFS Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in the Forest of Dean area, Gloucestershire. Start date is immediate and the contract runs until July, with competitive pay dependent on experience.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support early years learning, nurture development and create a positive classroom environment, helping children begin their educational journey with confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in EYFS, nursery, preschool or primary school setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• Caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the EYFS setting.
• Assist with delivering engaging and creative learning activities.
• Encourage children’s social, emotional and academic development.
• Promote positive behaviour and safeguarding of pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
• Prepare classroom resources and maintain an organized learning environment.
• Provide individual and small-group support as required.
