Job description

We're looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a nursery class full-time in a warm and welcoming infant school in the S43 area. This long-term position begins ASAP and runs through to the end of July, with the potential to continue in the new academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day routines of a nursery classroom

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support during learning and play

  • Help promote positive behaviour and social interaction

  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment

  • Observe and record developmental milestones

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in EYFS or nursery settings

  • A caring and proactive approach to supporting young children

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
