Hays Education are supporting a Wirral primary school who are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children aged 3-5 years.
Your new role

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with additional needs.
  • Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.


Working hours for this role are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday.
What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and creative approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
