Flexible Early Years Teaching Assistant – Primary School Supply Roles in Lambeth

Location: Lambeth, South West London
Start Date: Ongoing – You choose when you're available
Position Type: Flexible Supply Work (Daily, Part-Time, or Full-Time)
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Protocol Education is currently recruiting Early Years Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible, supply basis in Reception and Nursery classes across Primary Schools in Lambeth. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a variety of school settings while supporting young children at a crucial stage of their development.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting pupils in Nursery and Reception classes within mainstream primary schools

  • Assisting the class teacher with engaging early years activities

  • Helping children with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy skills

  • Encouraging social development, independence, and positive behaviour

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support where needed

We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with young children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting

  • A positive, caring, and flexible attitude

  • Availability for supply work during school hours (you choose your days)

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

  • Early Years qualifications are an advantage but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
