Our Primary School in Bishop Auckland provides an inspiring, nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to thrive. We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) on a 1:1 basis.

What You’ll Do:

1. Provide personalised support to a child in the EYFS setting.
2. Help implement tailored learning strategies that meet the child’s individual needs.
3. Assist with classroom activities to promote learning and development.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Work alongside the class teacher and other staff to monitor progress and adapt teaching techniques.
6. Be a trusted role model, offering emotional support and encouragement.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Experience working with young children (preferably in an educational setting).
2. A caring, patient, and understanding approach to working with children.
3. The ability to adapt teaching strategies to support individual needs.
4. A passion for supporting children’s emotional, social, and academic growth.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
6. A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Education is desirable (but not essential).
