Job summary

Cottingley Village Primary School is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work under the direction of the class teacher, Early Years leader and SENCO to support the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils across the school.

The successful candidate will support pupils' learning in the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings, contribute to planning and delivery of high-quality activities, and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of working in an Early Years setting including Reception class
  • Good understanding of the Early Years curriculum and Early Years statutory guidance
  • Strong commitment to ensuring excellent pupil progress
  • Ability to support pupils' learning in classroom, small groups or 1:1
  • Support children's personal, social and emotional development
  • Assist in planning and delivery of high-quality learning activities
  • Be dedicated to raising standards
  • Enjoy a collaborative style of working and learning
  • Knowledge of strategies for assessing and raising pupils' achievement

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Teaching Assistant at Cottingley Village Primary School.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher, Early Years leader and SENCO to support the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils across the school. This may include working with small groups, supporting individuals with additional needs and contributing to the smooth running of the classroom.
