Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting Early Years Teachers (ECTs) for a school in Hyde, Greater Manchester. This role offers £120–£140 per day and supports newly qualified teachers in starting their careers in a nurturing school environment.

Key responsibilities include planning and delivering EYFS lessons, observing progress, and working with staff to create a safe, inclusive classroom setting. Applicants should have QTS or be eligible, and be prepared for safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• QTS or eligibility to obtain QTS required.
• Early Career Teacher status or strong interest in EY teaching.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons.
• Support social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Observe and assess progress per EYFS.
• Encourage communication, language, creativity and independence.
• Support positive behaviour and promote wellbeing.
• Collaborate with TAs, colleagues and leadership.
• Build relationships with parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety policies.
