Overview

Are you an EYFS experienced teacher looking for an Early Years teacher role in a 'Good' primary school in North Birmingham? Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic Ofsted graded 'Good' Primary School in North Birmingham. The headteacher and MAT leads are seeking an experienced Early Years Foundation Stage teacher, with QTS, to start on a full-time basis from September to cover a maternity contract. The role involves teaching a Reception class for the full academic year. Competitive salary available above the main pay scale, dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for teaching a class of Reception children, aged 4-5 years.
  • Monitor, assess, record and report pupil progress in line with school policy, and use this to inform future planning.
  • Produce comprehensive weekly plans for the seven areas of learning.
  • Manage pupil progress socially and academically whilst tracking the progress of individual pupils within your class using children’s Learning Journals.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Recent experience of teaching in EYFS (including through PGCE placements if an NQT).
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Knowledge of effective strategies to meet the needs of all pupils, including underachieving pupils, those with SEN and EAL familiarity.
  • An understanding of curriculum and pedagogical issues relating to learning and teaching.
  • QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification (Early Years Teacher Status).
  • Legal right to work in the UK; enhanced DBS disclosure and professional reference checks (and overseas police clearances, if applicable).
  • Your CV should cover full education and employment history; any employment gaps should be explained.
