Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Teacher for Bishops Stortford Nursery & Preschool to plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and provide exceptional care that meets each child’s needs.

You will assess progress, maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor environments, and work closely with colleagues and parents. A relevant qualification (QTS/EYTS/EYPS or Level 6 EYQ) and safeguarding/EYFS knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS, EYTS, EYPS, or Level 6 Early Years Qualification
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Sound safeguarding and child-protection knowledge
• Ability to develop trust and partnerships with colleagues and parents
• Ability to use effective communication with colleagues and parents

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care for children
• Make accurate assessments reflecting each child’s needs, interests and stage of development
• Ensure indoor and outdoor environments are stimulating and safe for play and learning

The Role

As an Early Years Teacher, you will plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all the children to develop and meet their individual needs. You will make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, and ensure the indoor and outdoor environments are consistently stimulating and inspiring for the children.

What We’re Looking For

• Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both colleagues and parents
