Job summary

Kibble Education And Care Centre’s Puddle Lane nursery in Glasgow seeks a dedicated Support Worker to focus on health and wellbeing of children aged 0-5. You will work with practitioners, assist in mealtimes, and support in daily routines within a nurturing environment.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, creating a relaxed mealtime atmosphere, and respecting each child’s needs, with PVG checks and a probationary period.

Qualifications

• A recognised Early Years qualification is desirable, not essential.
• Commitment to obtaining a formal qualification such as SVQ Social Services Children & Young People, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Observe children and report to the child’s key person on significant events.
• Support children’s care and wellbeing during transitions and routines.
• Assist in delivery of children’s support plans and personal care needs.
• Ensure the environment is clean, hygienic and safe in line with regulations.
• Contribute to centre development, self-evaluation and service improvement planning.
