Early Years Support Assistant PEF (Fixed Term)

£9,646.68 - £10,242,43

St Teresa's RC Primary is seeking an Early Years Support Assistant Pupil Equity Funding position commencing August 2025 up to 19 th December 2025. This post is to assist the school in raising attainment through providing nurture working. You will be required to work 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, work pattern to be discussed at interview. This post would be based within the Primary school in classes across Primary 1 - 3.

This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.

Educated to SCQF level 6 in Social Services, Children & Young

People or equivalent. We require someone who can adapt quickly to fulfilling the educational and social needs of pupils in our Nursery and who will play an active role in our staff team. The successful candidate will display the appropriate professional skills and abilities, knowledge and understanding. We require someone who can participate in implementation of the development of the curriculum within our nursery class following the appropriate school policies on learning including pupil assessment. You must be able to work in a collegiate way with staff in school, with colleagues in other establishments and agencies, consulting regularly with parents and carers

Early Years Support Assistant applicants must hold a relevant qualification that enables registration with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Support Worker in Day Care Children's Services (without conditions). Link to list of acceptable qualifications below:
