Early Years Support Assistant - FTC (7/06497M) (Fixed Term)

Gretna Nursery

Salary: £9,646.68 - £10,242.43

Gretna Nursery is seeking an Early Years Support Assistant to fill an absence. You will be required to work 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The work pattern will be discussed at interview.

Gretna Nursery caters for children aged 2/3-5 years old. We aim to provide an enriching, nurturing environment both indoors and outdoors to promote children's independence and curiosity.

Qualifications: Educated to SCQF level 6 in Social Services, Children & Young People or equivalent. Applicants must hold a qualification enabling registration with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Support Worker in Day Care Children's Services (without conditions). Additional Requirements: Successful applicants must register with the SSSC within 3 months. This is a fixed-term post for up to 1 year. The role may be suitable for secondment, with prior approval from your Line Manager.

Working hours may vary between 8.00am - 6.00pm, depending on service needs.

This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the PVG Scheme. Candidates will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership before employment begins. Applicants with recent residence outside the UK will need to provide police clearance from the relevant authorities.
