Job description

We're looking for qualified staff (with a full and relevant level 2 / level 3 childcare, Playwork with early years element, EYP, EYE, EYPS, EYTS, or QTS, or working towards this) to join our busy supply team in the Westerhope and surrounding areas of NEWCASTLE.

Usual shifts are weekdays 8am - 4pm or 8am - 6pm, however, there may be flexibility for other hours such as lunch cover or a 9-3 shift, and work available in term time and holidays on a short or long-term basis - just let us know what you are looking for!

Paid travel time may also be available - driving not essential but you should be happy and able to commute in the local area.

DUTIES

Usual duties will include:

  1. Caring for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  2. Supporting usual daily routines.
  3. Working well as part of the team staff in the classroom and wider setting.
  4. Providing activities to learn through play.
  5. Promoting the safety and wellbeing of the children and teams.

All applicants will require an Enhanced DBS for the childcare workforce, registered on the Government Update Service or will need to apply (with we will support with). Paediatric First Aid is highly desirable but not essential.
