Kido is proud to offer students studying relevant Level 2 or Level 3 early years/childcare qualifications a work placement opportunity!
We are a nursery group combining innovation and imagination to create modern Early Years settings, with nurseries in India, USA, and the UK. We have 13 (soon to be 14!) Ofsted-rated Good and Outstanding nurseries in and around London. More about our nurseries can be found at our website.
Our approach blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner methods, enhanced by modern learning spaces and technology, bringing a new level of wonder to early years education at Kido.
This is a great chance to join our growing nursery group, where we support your career development in early years. Starting on a work placement during your studies could lead to paid roles such as Early Years Assistant or Nursery Educator after graduation. You can also pursue further qualifications, gain experience with children aged 3 months to 5 years, or move into management.
What you can expect on work placement:
You will gain hands-on experience supporting Room Leaders and Educators to create a safe, inspiring environment for children to thrive. Your role involves teamwork, engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and effective communication with parents, children, and colleagues.
Activities include arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, reading, and supporting meal times, considering each child's dietary needs.
We value diversity and create a nurturing environment that respects each child's background, culture, disabilities, and medical history. Your feedback is important as we continuously improve our standards of early years education.
To apply, contact us at [emailprotected]. Our recruitment team will discuss your preferences and help match you with a suitable nursery location. You will need to complete some forms, provide references (e.g., course tutor or previous employer), and undergo background checks including a DBS if not already processed by your college.
