Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries Limited in Cranbrook is seeking an Early Years Senior Supervisor to lead a room team and deliver high-quality care and education within a supportive, forward-thinking setting.

You’ll focus on safeguarding, learning outcomes, and building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues while supporting team development and high standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in an Early Years setting.
• Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and childcare legislation.
• Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 Safeguarding (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Proactive, team-focused approach and commitment to staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a room team to deliver outstanding care and education.
• Deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
• Support children’s development, wellbeing and progress.
• Build strong relationships with families, colleagues and external agencies.
• Monitor planning, assessments and room standards to ensure quality outcomes.
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues through inductions, supervisions and day‑to‑day support.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and compliance standards are maintained.

As an Early Years Senior Supervisor, you’ll lead, motivate, and support your room team to deliver high-quality care and education in a safe, stimulating environment. You’ll build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues while ensuring excellent standards of safeguarding, learning, and wellbeing are consistently maintained.

What we’re looking for:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
• Previous supervisory experience within an Early Years setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and childcare legislation
• Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 Safeguarding (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• A proactive, team-focused approach with a genuine passion for developing children and colleagues
• Confidence in supporting audits, room improvements, and maintaining high standards
