Job Description

To provide effective day-to-day operational leadership and management of the nursery setting for the benefit of children, families, and the wider community. To promote and develop the nursery and family nurture services to ensure the highest quality of provision for children and families.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organization.

Working pattern is Thursdays and Fridays, 7.25 hours per day.

This is a Children's Service Network (CSN) post. Initially, you will be based at Meldrum Primary School, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Meldrum CSN. The successful candidate will be employed on a 52.18 weeks per year contract.

Requirements

The minimum requirements for this post include:

  1. Two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
  2. This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The outcome of these checks must be satisfactory for employment to commence.
  3. You will be required to obtain SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
