Job summary

A leading childcare provider is seeking an enthusiastic Room Leader for the Toddler Room at their Fareham Nursery. This position involves leading a team to provide outstanding care, establishing positive relationships with parents, and ensuring excellent documentation. Applicants should have a Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years and relevant experience in childcare. The role offers a full-time position with a salary of £31,595.20 pro rata.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years required.
  • Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of OFSTED and EYFS policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to provide outstanding care in the Toddler Room.
  • Establish positive relationships with parents during settling in sessions.
  • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

Skills

Level 3 or higher Qualification in Early Years
Former experience in childcare environment
Knowledge of safeguarding
Paediatric first aid certificate
Food hygiene certificate
Current Level 4 Safeguarding training certificate

Desirable skills for this role

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and the role of a DSL
  • Paediatric first aid certificate
  • Food hygiene certificate
  • Current Level 4 Safeguarding training certificate

This Job involves

  • Leading a team of practitioner to Provide outstanding care in our Toddler Room.
  • Leading the settling in sessions with the new parents, establishing positive relationships and supporting both the child and parents during these sessions.
  • Ensure paperwork within the rooms is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and prospective parents.
  • Lead team and support your team to fulfil their individual personal development plans

Full Time - Monday-Friday 40hrs week

Salary - £31,595.20 pro rata
