Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool 121 SEN T.A. to join our nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and SEN. This role requires an enhanced DBS check on the update system. Level 2 qualification in early years and a minimum of 6 months referenceable experience in a classroom setting, experience with autism would be ideal. We have a lovely child that needs 121 support in his early years pre school setting from now until July, having recently been given their EHCP school now have funding for someone to gain valuable experience with this loveable child.

Responsibilities

  • Support a 3 year old child with autism in all areas of learning & play.
  • Manage classroom activities and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 5 years.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
  • Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback and support to enhance their learning experiences.
  • Drive initiatives that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning activities.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff members to create an inclusive nursery environment that celebrates diversity.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate this information during parent meetings.

Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting is highly essential.
  • ENHANCED DBS Check on update service
  • Referenceable experience
  • A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through creative teaching methods.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
