A local council in Scotland is looking for a qualified individual to join their early years team, delivering a high-quality, child-centred service. Candidates must have HNC qualifications in Early Education and Childcare and be registered with SSSC. The role includes specified work hours and ongoing learning regarding current legislation related to childcare.
The salary advertised is for a full-time position (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours or sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £17.72 - £19.19
This is a 52-week, non-sessional post, including working during school holidays.
Days and Hours of Work:
Tuesday, 08:00-13:30
Wednesday, 13:15-18:00
Thursday, 08:00-13:15
Friday, 08:00-18:00
Start date: ASAP.

Relevant Qualifications:
You must be educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare, or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education, or equivalent. You should also be able to demonstrate ongoing learning and knowledge of current practice and legislation related to Early Learning and Childcare.
SSSC registration:
SSSC registration is mandatory. If not already a member, you must apply within 3 months of starting, to ensure registration within 6 months.
PVG Membership:
This role is considered a Regulated Role involving vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as per the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
All preferred candidates will be required to join or update their PVG Scheme membership before a formal offer is made.
Note: PVG records are regularly updated. Any relevant disclosures will be discussed and investigated before employment is confirmed.
