A local government body in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to support and engage children in the Nursery and Primary 1 classrooms. The ideal candidate should have experience with additional support needs. This role includes SSSC registration and adherence to child protection regulations. The Council promotes a diverse workplace and flexible working arrangements.
Early Years Practitioner, Pirniehall Primary School
Salary: £29,173 - £33,287 (pro-rata for sessional). Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
Pirniehall Primary is a non-denominational school situated in the North West of Edinburgh and is part of the Craigroyston Learning Community. The school has a roll of 290 pupils, with 9 classes covering the stages P1-P7 and a further 24 nursery children attending full-time.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Early Years Practitioner who will bring a positive and enthusiastic approach to our school and nursery. Experience of ensuring positive outcomes for children with additional support needs would be desirable.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team supporting, encouraging and engaging children in the Nursery and Primary 1. Currently, this post is working within our P1 classroom.

Salary typically reflects the initial starting salary with annual increases to the top of the range. We are happy to discuss flexible working.
