Nursery: Bright Horizons Maythorne Cottages Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: £27,231 - £33,660 pro rata (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Hither Green, London

We are looking for a part time, qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Horizons Maythorne Cottages Day Nursery and Pre School. This is a lunch cover position, working 11:00-15:00 Monday-Friday.

Maythorne Cottages is a beautiful nursery located in the heart of Hither Green, we are steps away from Hither green station and have great links to London Bridge, Lewisham and Kent areas.

Our nursery takes children aged 3 months - 3 years and we work in strong partnership with Beacon road nursery which is our pre-school unit. We thrive to provide quality childcare and education consistently with all age groups. The nursery consists of 4 rooms, with 2 great outdoors spaces.

What we’re looking for

• Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Early Years Practitioner, or similar)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
